About Azzurro
Didsbury's Only Independent Italian Restaurant
When Azzurro first opened its doors in 2004,
we were the only Italian restaurant in the
area. Since then, Didsbury has witnessed the
arrival of the ubiquitous Italian chains. Nonetheless,
Azzurro aims to keep the spirit of independent
family-run enterprise alive and kicking.
We are a small, intimate venue, and our chef
patron Emil personally prepares every plate of
food that is served. He prepares modern Italian
cuisine with an emphasis on flavour! As our customers
testify, Emil's food is just something you have
to keep coming back for.
Our blackboard plays an important role as this
is where we offer market-fresh fish and seafood
dishes. Keeping these specials on the board and
not on the menu means we can cook with the freshest
produce available.
Emil, his wife Anna and their three young boys
are extremely proud of Azzurro.
